Bio

Alson was raised on a farm, homesteaded in Colorado, sold out and was a jack of all trades., carpenter, bricklayer, tank construction, and working at the Ford assembly plant in Los Angeles. When the Depression came he lost his job, home, savings, and struggled to keep his family together by taking any job anywhere. He mined for gold, cut fire wood, picked fruit. One time was lost for three days in the mountains while trapping. He drowned in Merced River doing what he loved, prospecting for gold.
