Bio
In the town of Shullsburg, on January 31, 1881, Mrs. Mary Walsh, in the 91st year of her age. Mrs. Walsh was born at Darrington near Pontefract, Yorkshire, England, on the 7th of February, 1790. She was married to Michael Walsh, at Pontefract, in 1815. Removed to the United States and settled on a farm near the old Shullsburg lake, in the town of Shullsburg, in this county, in 1851. By this marriage she had three children, Thomas, John and William; Thomas Walsh, at present a resident of Shullsburg, being the only survivor. In 1876 Mrs. Walsh buried her husband, and since that time has lived with her son Thomas. She was a member of the Episcopal church, having joined that denomination in England. She was placed to rest beside her husband at Apple River, Illinois, on Wednesday, Feb. 2d. The Republican Journal 11 Feb 1881
