Bio
Rodney Starkey was born on June 7, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to George and Beverly Starkey. He had two sisters and one brother: D.A., David, and Susan Starkey. He graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1969. He married the love of his life, Linda Wall, who passed away February 8, 2009. He had two sons, Shaun and Rodney II "Bubby", who also passed before him. Rodney was remarried to Bobbie Strickland from October 8, 2021, until her passing on May 18, 2023. Rodney had a lot of love and a lot of heartbreak, but he was strong in his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a master technician for over 40 years. He was a solid member of AA for the last 31 years. He was always willing to reach out and help those in need. He was a service to others struggling. He was a father, grandpa, son, brother, husband and a family man. Rodney is survived by his two sisters, D.A. and Susan Starkey; brother-in-law, Jamie Wall; daughter in law; grandkids, Kristi, Madison, Mason Starkey; and a host of family and friends who loved dearly. Rodney will be deeply missed by many friends and all who knew him. We know he is at peace and with the Lord and all of those who went on before him.
