Thanks to FAG Contributor, Kent Pauling (47438725), for the following obituary. 1-19-2022 ----------------------------------------------- Funeral services for Glenn Dozler, 68, of Elgin, were held Tuesday, September 4, at St, Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin. The Rev. Thomas Bauwens officiated. Burial was in the St. Boniface Cemetery with arrangements by Huffman's Brooks Chapel. Military graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion and VFW; the Knights of Columbus provided an honor guard. Glenn Daniel Dozler, son, of George F. and Josephine (Klink) Dozler, was born March 20, 1933, at Elgin. He grew up on his parents' farm southwest of Elgin, attended rural schools and graduated from St. Boniface High School in 1951. He entered the U.S Army on March 4, 1953 and served 16 months overseas during the Korean War. He was discharged from active duty December 23, 1954. On July 9, 1953, he married Margaret C. DeMuth at St. Boniface Church. The couple made their home on a farm southwest of Elgin. Mr. Dozler farmed and over the years, also worked at the trailer factory in Neligh, was a bus driver for the Elgin Public Schools and more recently was employed at the Elgin Equipment and Machine Company. The couple moved to Elgin in November, 2000. Mr. Dozler was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 229 and VFW Post 5816. all of Elgin. Mr. Dozler died Saturday, September 1, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, James Dozler and three brothers, Harold Dozler, Melvin Dozler and Robert Dozler. Survivors include his wife, four daughters and their husbands, Jeaneen and Randy Kindschuh of Wisner, Priscilla and Dennis Blair of Elgin. Linda and Steve Kuester of Neligh and Connie and Tom Kinney of Elgin, three sons and their wives, Tim Dozler of Pierce, Tom and Becky Dozler of David City and Ray and Diane Dozler of Albion, his stepmother, Evelyn Dozler of Neligh, two sisters, Georgene Funk of Ewing and Luellen Landgren of Bartlett, two brothers, Berton Dozler and Allen Dozler, both of Elgin, and 26 grandchildren.
