EL PASO TIMES, El Paso, TX August 3, 1966 BALMORHEA MAN DROWnING VICTIM Pecos, TX -- William S. Moore, 68, operator of a grocery store and ice house in Balmorhea for several years, drowned Tuesday when his fishing boat overturned on Balmorhea Lake. His widow was saved by Jack Blair, the resort's operator and another fisherman. The fisherman was on shore when he heard the Moores cries for help. He notified Blair, the two took Blair's boat onto the lake, and Mrs. Moore was pulled from the water. Moore's body was later recovered by Highway Patrolman, C.E. Locklear of Kermit Texas. Surviving Mr. Moore, in addition to his widow, is a son, Evans Moore of Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services were pending in Pecos Funeral Home. Contributor: Allen Reedy Curtis (47745134)
