Bio

Buried in an unmarked grave, James died of typhoid fever and is buried beside his first wife Mary Elizabeth Osborn (Langston Osborn and wife Mary Little). James Spradlin, contracted typhoid fever, surfing for a long time before he died. In the last days, all James could do is use his foot to rock baby daughter Emma rocker to keep her quiet while Sarah attain to the family needs. Son of Irvin Worshington Spradlin (1787-1839), son of Joshua Spradlin and his wife Margaret Irvin, and Sarah Elizabeth Peters (1791-1873), daughter of William Peters and his wife Laney Jordan. His brothers and sisters in order of birth are Minerva (Amster Denham), Nancy (John Robertson), James, Margaret (James Bean), Catherine (John W. Parrott), Sarah (John B. Campbell), Synthia Ellender (Isaac Williams), John Jordan Spradlin (Elizabeth Parrott), William Ervin Spradlin (Nancy Melvina Stephenson), Mary Elizabeth (Ephraïm Aubrey Barker) and Martha Jane Ann (Robert Signor Hamrick).
