Delia Ledesma Nord Nov 26, 1926 - Sep 4, 2025 Funeral services for Delia Nord, 98, of Giddings, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Ann G. Rios officiating. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Assumption Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. Delia (Ledesma) Nord was born on November 26, 1926 in Austin, Texas, one of three daughters born to Alvino and Magdalena (Villalpando) Ledesma. She married Lee Roy Nord and was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family. Always strong in her faith, she was active in the women's ministries in the churches that she attended throughout her life. Delia passed away the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, 2025 at her home in Giddings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvino and Magdalena Ledesma; her husband, Lee Roy Nord; her sons-in-law, Robert Shelly and Apolonio Godinez, and her sister, Alice Torres. Delia is survived by her two daughters, Debra Shelly of Houston and Norma Godinez of Giddings; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and her sister, Ann Rios of Austin. Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or to the charity of one's choice.
