California - S1 U.S. Navy WWII veteran Mother's maiden name: BUSTER (from California death index) ================= Mountain Democrat 14 Mar 1968 "Funeral services for Louis E. McGuffey, 41, of Shingle Springs were held Monday in Chapel of the Pines. The Rev. Richard E. Eggart of the First Baptist Church at Shingle Springs officiated. Interment was in Frenchtown Cemetery. Mr. McGuffey, an auto salesman for Patterson Motors, died near Shingle Springs on March 3. He was born in Huntsville, KY and had been a California resident for 12 years and El Dorado 10 years. He was a member of the Shingle Springs First Baptist Church. He was the husband of Florence McGuffey, father of Jack, Patricia, Michael and Dwayne, all of Shingle Springs; brother of Lillian Graham, Arnold McGuffey, Wilma Green, Dean McGuffey, Betty McGuffey, and Wayne McGuffy, all of Cincinnati, OH, Mildred Richards of Danville, KY and Frank McGuffey of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by his mother Myrtle McGuffey of Cincinnati."
