Joe David Waldrep went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 while at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 18, 1951 to James David Waldrep and Lydia Fritsch Waldrep in Jennings, Louisiana. Survivors include a loving wife after almost 50 years of marriage, Glenda Hoffpauir Waldrep and three sons: Shawn Waldrep and wife, Alisa of Havelock, NC; Scott Waldrep and wife, Suzanne of Palm Coast, FL; and Seth Waldrep and wife Jennifer of Denison, TX; one brother, Gilbert Waldrep and wife Jackie of Egan, LA; nine grandchildren, Eleni, Brandon, Gabriel, Noah, Rhys, Brandon, Elijah, Drew, and Jenna; and one great-grandchild, Madeline. Joe worked in the shipbuilding industry for over 45 years along the gulf and east coasts and retired as a Marine Design Engineer for the State of North Carolina Ferry Division. He was a faithful member of Manteo Baptist Church. No services are planned.
