Married Marguerite McCarron February 24, 1920 Jordan, Garfield, MT _______________________ The Capital Journal Salem, OR Tuesday, February 13, 1968 Molalla - Burtesil L. Searl, 69, Rt. 2, died at his home Sunday. A native of Hubbard, IA, he had lived in Lincoln, NE; Wallace, ID; Spokane, WA; and Dishman, WA; before moving here 15 years ago. He operated a boiler farm and was a cabinet maker here, but had been a mortician and operated a rabbitry and liquor store before moving here. He was a member and past president of Oregon Broilers Association; had served as a judge of American Rabbit Breeders Association; a Boy Scout leader, and on the Oregon Fryer Commission board; was a member of Clackamas Broiler Association; and was vice president of South Molalla Farmers Union. An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of American Legion and 40 et 8 in Spokane. Surviving are a widow Victoria, Molalla; a son, Robert B. Searl, Lacey, WA; a daughter, Betty White, Wellesley, MA; and 8 grandchildren. Office of the Dead will be at 8 p.m. today in the Molalla chapel of Everhart and Kent. Mass will be at 9:30 a.m,. Wednesday in St. James Catholic Church. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.
