d/Thomas & Mary TOMAN JANDA w/A. E. PECINOVSKY This community was grieved and shocked to hear last Thursday of the death of Mrs. Frances Pecinovsky at a Topeka hospital. She complained of feeling ill the night before and went to the medicine cabinet to get something for relief. By accident she took out a bottle of poison and swallowed some before she realized what it was. Emergency relief was given and she was rushed to a Topeka hospital. She passed away the next day. Mrs. Frances M. Pecinovsky, 77, was born at Plattsmouth, Nebr., July 5, 1878 and had lived in Valley Falls for 49 years. Her husband, Dr. A. E. Pecinovsky, preceded her in death in March, 1916. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lester Booth of Topeka; two sons, Albert J. Pecinovsky of Manhattan and Bernard J. Pecinovsky of Valley Falls; Four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Slavicek of Plattsmouth, Nebr., two brothers, Frank Janda of Wahoo, Nebr., and Joe Janda of Omaha, Nebr.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Valley Falls at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial in the church cemetery.
