Bio
Daughter of Captain Victor F USCG (ret) and Alice Phillips Tydlacka. Raised in a Coast Guard family, she moved around often. After graduating from high school, she studied to be a physical education teacher at Russell Sage College. She met Richard O Buttrick at a dance while he was attending the Coast Guard Academy. After marriage, they were stationed at many different Coast Guard bases all over the U.S., finally settling in Cape Cod in the summer of 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 58 years, Captain Richard "Dick" Buttrick USCG (ret). She leaves her four sons, Jeffrey E Buttrick and wife, Pamela Nygard Buttrick, of Sandwich, MA, Richard C Buttrick and wife, Kimberly McCartney Buttrick of Falmouth, MA, CDR Scott A Buttrick USCG (ret) of Silver Spring, MD, David J Buttrick and wife, Kristen Gove Buttrick of Sandwich, MA; daughter, Pamela D Oliveira and husband, Todd, of Falmouth, MA; grandchildren, Courtney, Nicholas, Brittany, Alyssa, Nicole, Jenna, Kalyn, Lindsey, Hope, Lila, Julia, and Karlee; eight great-grandchildren; older sister, Vicki Bakker; and younger brother, Jerry Tydlacka.
