Bio

LEESVILLE - Services for Lela B. Mueller will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hixson, Leesville. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Slagle. Mueller, 83, of Simpson died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, in her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Simpson/Vernon Parish area. She was a retired seamstress with more than 25 years service at Fort Polk. She was a former member of the Methodist Church in Laurens, S.C., and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilhelm Mueller. Survivors include on sister, Merlene Wardell of Alexandria. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services Thursday in the funeral home.
