Bio

Madonna Sangalli, CDP, entered eternal life on January 24, 2021 at the age of 86. She was the daughter of Bennie William and Mary (Wolk) Sangalli. Sister Madonna was born October 5, 1934 in Texarkana, Arkansas; her family later moved to the Westside of San Antonio. She was part of the first graduating class of Providence High School, a sponsored institution of the Congregation she would soon enter. She answered God's call to become a Sister of Divine Providence on September 7, 1952 and professed first vows on June 22, 1955. Sister Madonna served the Congregation of Divine Providence for a span of 40 years in the realm of finance. She also served the people of God as the business office manager of two hospitals and later as a chaplain at Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
