Bio

Son of H. R. LeMay from Tennessee, per his death certificate. The informant was his ex-wife, Mrs Mae Martha (McRae) Christian. He and Miss Mae McRae were married 20 May 1915 in Houston, Harris County Texas. ________________ From obituary in The Houston Chronicle, Saturday, October 24, 1931, Page 11: H. R. LeMay had been a resident of Houston for 21 years and was connected with the LeMay Transfer Company. He served in the US Army from 1907 to 1910, and also served with General John J. Pershing in Mexico. He was survived by a son, Homer Richard LeMay, and a daughter, Ethel Mae LeMay, both of Houston; his mother, Lula LeMay and five sisters, Mrs. J. E. (Bessie) Lombard , Mrs. C. Brunson, Mrs Neal Henderson and Miss Fay LeMay, all of Port Arthur, and Mrs. Alex H. (Grace Ola) Elmore of Houston; and one brother, Crawford LeMay of Houston. Funeral services were held at the funeral home of the Oliver Lewis Company, on Sunday, October 25, 1931, Rev. W. M.Harrell officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Oliver Lewis Company.
