She was born Oct. 25, 1906, in Vega S.D., the daughter of James and Florence Havlik Beranek. She married Orville S. Dean Aug. II, 1952, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. He died Nov. 24, 1969. Survivors include a nephew and a niece; she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Dolan. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo.
