Bio

Leroy James Kruppa was born in El Campo, TX on July 22, 1932 and passed away at home, surrounded by family, in Humble, TX on January 23, 2021. He graduated from high school and attended Wharton County Junior College. Leroy played on the football team as a kicker where he earned the nickname "Trigger Toe." Following college, Leroy was drafted into the Army where he served honorably for two years. After his discharge, Leroy and Norma moved to Humble, TX, where they built their home and family. Leroy had a successful career with Texaco for 37 years. Leroy was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. If you heard laughter, Leroy was likely the source. He was the ultimate Mr. Fix-It. There wasn't a task that he wasn't able to complete and loved working on projects. The one thing that Leroy loved most of all was being with his family and friends. He never missed one of his grandchildren's or great-grandchildren's events and was happiest when they were by his side. Leroy is proceeded in death by his parents Edmund and Francis Kruppa, sister Dorothy Tessoni, brother Edmond Kruppa, Jr., brother Stanley Kruppa and son Norman Kruppa. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life for 67 wonderful years, Norma Veselka Kruppa, daughter, Annette Kruppa, grandson Chris Kruppa and wife Lori Kruppa, granddaughter Sara DeSantis and husband Mike DeSantis, granddaughter Chanda Frank and husband Jason Frank, great grandchildren, Zachary Jolly, Jacob Jolly, Caden Kinne, Vivian Kruppa, Finley Frank and Luke Frank and sister Margaret Ann Day and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be at Triska Funeral Home Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 10 am to 11:30 am. He will then be move to St. Andrew Catholic Church at 12 noon Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at 12:30 pm with the Funeral Mass will following at 1 pm with Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Interment will be at St. Andrew Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Kruppa, Jason Frank, John Kelly, John Kuehn, Michael DeSantis, Scott Mittelstedt, Jacob Jolly, Zachary Jolly, and Caden Kinne.
