Mrs. Ellen Haller dies today; funeral services Monday -- Mrs. Ellen A. Haller, 89, of 2915½ 13th street, died this morning in St. Mary's hospital after a month's illness. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Elstan Coghill at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Bonaventure Catholic church, with burial in St. Bonaventure cemetery. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at the McKown Funeral Home. Rosary will be prayed there at 8 p.m. Sunday by the parish and organizations with which she was affiliated. Daugther of the late Maurice and Nora Burke Branigan, she was born June 17, 1876 at Dix. She was married to Charles J. Haller Jan. 23, 1900 in Cheyenne, Wyo., and they lived at Cheyenne, Bladen and Culbertson, Neb., before coming to Columbus. Mrs. Haller was a member of St. Bonaventure parish, Third Order of St. Francis, Catholic Daughters of America and Father Flanagan's Mothers club. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge. Surviving are four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Nora Spitz of Columbus, Mrs. Hanna Cockson of Shelby, Mrs. John McGowan of Grand Island, Sister M. Carmel of Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. Mary Hughes of Long Beach, Cal. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Charles M. and Louis F. Haller; brothers, Tom, Jack, Ed, Maurice and Bill Branigan, all former residents of Columbus. (Newspaper Article Pen Dated Thur 9-23-65.)
