Bio
Mildred E. Johnson, age 100 of Gatesville, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Private family graveside services will be held at Bosqueville Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Mildred was born on July 13, 1920, in Robertson County, Texas, to the late William Nathaniel and Martha Gibson Forson. Mildred met and later married John "J.O." Oliver Johnson on April 5, 1947. They lived on the family farm for 55 years and raised three children. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily, quilting, sewing, and gardening and she was also an excellent cook. Her husband preceded her in death in 2004. Mildred was a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church for several years and a devout Christian. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, John E. Johnson and wife, Alice, Charles O. Johnson and wife, Pat; daughter : Gail Gutierrez; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and her special pet "Dolly".
