Bio

Rosella Fern (Myers) Cline was born on a farm near Leonel, Oklahoma January 20, 1933. The first child of Alvin Edward Myers and his wife Lillian Frances (Sidebottom) Myers. She went to be with the Lord January 15, 2021. Rosella went to school at Longdale, Oklahoma through the early grades. The family moved to Washington County Kansas in 1946. Rosella graduated from 8th grade from Silvercliff rural School and Morrowville High School in 1951. She married (Henry) Vaughn Cline at Fairbury Nebraska September 10, 1950. Vaughn then spent 2 years in the service. Following service Vaughn and Rosella moved to Fairbury in 1952, where they joined the First Baptist Church. Rosella served as Sunday School Teacher, deaconess board member, memorial board member, church historian and was active in the ladies’ mission group. The couple had three daughters Lavonna, Alvadine & Jolene, and enjoyed 55 years together. Rosella was a life member of the Jefferson County Historical Society, serving as member of the board for several years and participating in multiple projects. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Her favorite books were of historical and Christian content. She especially enjoyed raising Iris, Tulips and Peonies. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alvin & Lillian Myers, her brother Herbert Myers, her sister Iola Carter and husband Vaughn. She is survived by her children, Lavonna Kidder and husband Mike, of Lincoln, NE, Alvadine Gilliland and husband Kevin of Omaha, NE, Jolene Banks and husband Scott of Firth, NE, grandchildren Jed Pedersen and wife Andrea of Aurora, CO, Sarah Baden and husband William of Deshler, NE, Aubrey Plautz and husband Jared of Hickman, NE, Savannah Banks of Lincoln, NE and 7 great-grandchildren Maxwell, Marcus and Miles Pedersen, Dean, Lucy & Caitlyn Bade, and Dacota Plautz, and her brother-in-law Louis Carter of Morrowville, KS. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery – Haddam, KS.
