Graveside services for Finis E. Harrison, 82, Chickasha, will be held at 2 pm, Friday, March 1, 2002, at the Rush Springs Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Tims of First Baptist Church, Chickasha, officiating. Finis Euwing Harrison was born July 3, 1919, near Rush Springs, OK. He was the eighth and last child of Zachariah and Matilda Harrison. He passed from this life on February 27, 2002, in Chickasha. Finis grew up on the family farm in the Rush Springs area. He later served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was honorably discharged from the US Army during World War II. He married Bonnie Bernice Brown on July 12, 1941, in Chickasha. They were married for 60 years. Finis worked in the oil field for many years. Finis worked in the oil field for many years, owned a gas station, and retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in 1982 at the age of 62. He enjoyed working around his house and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death: Orville, ZD, Ollie, Joe, Maggie Harper and Odie Mae Pendley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Rev. Elmer Mason, M. E. Brown, Faye Harrison, Agnes Harrison, Buster and Edith Butler, and Rev. Willard Harper. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, of Chickasha; children: Keith and Darleen Harrison, Sherry and Gerald Grimes. He was "Pappy" to Brent Grimes, Angie Grimes, Jason Harrison, all of Chickasha, and Jennifer Harrison, of Tulsa. One sister, Naomi Mason of Fort Worth, TX, and 4 sisters-in-law, Erlene Harrison, of Marlow, Betty McAdams, of Chickasha, and Lucille Brown, of Oklahoma City, survived him. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home of Fletcher. He now has 4 great grandchildren: Gage Harrison Grimes, Kanaan Brock Cremer, Jonah Kade Cremer, and Lacy Rae Grimes
