Bio
Flora McDonald, 89, former Broken Bow resident, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Golden Valley, AZ. She was born March 11, 1918 at Gillham, AR, the daughter of Joshua and Laura Elizabeth Cole Hogan. She was affiliated with the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was of the Baptist faith. Flora was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an active reader. She also enjoyed carpentry work. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hershal Howard McDonald, son, Howard Wayne McDonald and 11 brothers and sisters. Flora leaves to cherish her memory a son, John Clark McDonald of Covington, TX; daughters, Bobbie Wood of Golden Valley, AZ and Judith Ann McDonald of Broken Bow; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 Monday, March 19, 2007 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Broken Bow. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18 at the funeral home.
