Bio
Roger J. Brym passed away January 1, 2021, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Roger was born August 7, 1941 in Seward, Nebraska, the son of Joseph and Lillian (Helman) Brym. Roger worked early on with the railroad and then as a Surveyor for many years with HWS Consulting in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and studied Archeology. Roger enjoyed telling great stories of past, smoking his pipe, making his own fishing lures and he was an avid fisherman. Roger is survived by his children, Joe (Telena) Brym of Omaha, NE, Vicki Hancock, of Lincoln, NE, Jennifer (Lee) Bates of Nebraska City, NE, Leigh Ann (Ed) Muller of Lincoln, NE and Dyana (Tyler) Wolkenhauer of Mansfield, TX; seventeen grandchildren, Matt (Amanda) Sharp, Sam Brym, Savannah Brym, Josh Brym, Emily Hancock, Sophia Hancock, Erik Carlson (Emily), Jake Heil, Joey Heil, Logan Heil, Atticus Muller, Helena Muller, Henson Muller, Dasha Muller, Delilah Wolkenhauer, Charlotte Wolkenhauer, Hattie Wolkenhauer; one great grandchild, Andrew Carlson; one sister, Diane Guerriere of La Crescent, MN; along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian (Helman) Brym. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Nebraska Game & Parks Commission.
