George Wilderspin HALTOM CITY -- George Wilderspin, 86, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at a North Richland Hills hospital. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Thursday in Woodside Cemetery in Grand Saline. Haltom City-Riverside Lodge 1331 will conduct Masonic services. George was born Feb. 3, 1916, in Frisco. He held the record for calf roping for 20 years. He was a 50-year member of Haltom City-Riverside Masonic Lodge 1331 and a member of Moslah Shrine. George was a gold card member of P.R.C.A. and was inducted in 1999 into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. Survivors: Wife, Carmen Wilderspin of Haltom City; stepdaughter, Frances Lea of Fort Worth; adopted son, Lonnie Wilderspin of Millsap; grandsons, Brandin Lea and Fletcher Lea; three great-grandchildren; and cousin, Cliff Wilderspin of Midland.
