Darlene Joyce (Simpson) Shawn was born August 30, 1933 in Crowder, Oklahoma to Alice Corine Simpson and C.E. Siler. She passed away December 28, 2020 in Duncan at the age of 87. Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery . Darlene married William Curtis Shawn on March 15, 1995 in Duncan. She had a card ministry where she sent cards to just about everybody. She was self-employed as a housekeeper for many people and also ironed clothing. She loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed working word search puzzle books. She was a seamstress who enjoyed making her children’s clothing. She loved visiting with people and had lots of friends in Marlow and Duncan. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church West. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Kathy Thomason and Carolyn Davis; and one brother. Darlene is survived by her husband, Curtis Shawn; children: Randy and Patricia (Sikes) Davis of Marlow; Ronnie Davis of Duncan; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth and Betty Siler of Sapulpa; David and Kathy Siler of Norman.
