Bio

Lila June Rapp, age 93, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away the evening of December 21, 2020, at the home. Lila was born June 27, 1927, to Edna and Harry Willard near Venango, Nebraska. The family lived in Grant, Big Springs, Chappell and eventually Hershey, Nebraska. Lila graduated high school in Curtis, Nebraska. Lila raised her children in California where she worked in a bank as a teller. The family moved to central Kansas where she continued her banking career. In 1976, Lila moved to Kansas City, Missouri to serve with Stonecroft Ministries. She first served in the Life Publications Department. She eventually became a part of the Club Department where she answered questions on the telephone and filled supply orders. She retired in 2005. She also enjoyed gardening her patio flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Rapp of Overland Park, KS and her son, John (Becky) Rapp of Gardner, Kansas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Willard, of North Platte, Nebraska; two granddaughters, Melissa (Ben) Swartz and Cynthia (Dr Faraz Sandhu) Rapp Sandhu; six great-grandchildren Christopher, Alexandra, Nathanael, and Zachary Swartz and Zaira and Yelena Sandhu, and other family. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edna Willard; brother, Lynn Willard; sister, Eunice Brown; and nephew, Randy Willard. She will be cremated by Penwell-Gabel in Olathe, Kansas. No services will be held
