BREWTON — JOE C. BREWTON, 84, died Tuesday, January 8, 1985 in a local hospital. Native of Crockett, Texas, resident of Houston for the past 55 years. Member of Garden Villas United Methodist Church, Knights Templar, Park Place Lodge No. 1172 A.F. & A.M. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Esther Belle Brewton, Houston; two sons living, and also two granddaughters living; sister, Mrs. Virgie Powell, Huntsville; brother, J. P. "Dutch" Brewton, Crockett. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 1985, Garden Villas United Methodist Church, 7155 Ashburn, with Reverend W. W. Russell and Bishop John Wesley Hart officiating.
