Helen Martha Stefek was called to the Lord Friday, Aug. 21, 2020. She was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Granger, to Lad and Hattie Stuchly. Helen was the oldest sibling of 10 children raised in a farming community, loving the outdoors and nature. Helen had an extraordinary gift for oil painting, quilting and sewing. Helen made dozens of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses for family and close friends. Everyone called on her for her expertise with canning and cooking skills. She was revered for her pickles and okra, and usually caught the biggest fish on every trip to Stigall's lake. Helen had the most gorgeous blue eyes and a beautiful smile that would light up a room. Helen was the kindest, most loving, pure hearted woman. Everyone whomever knew her said she was an angel sent from Heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lad and Hattie (Martinka) Stuchly; two brothers, Daniel and Eugene Stuchly.
