The Democrat (at Newspapers.com) McKinney, Texas Thursday, June 13, 1901 Page 5, Col. 4 Eber Martin Bearden. Eber Martin, son of T. B. and Belle Bearden, died at the home of his parents on South Tennessee street, Friday, June 7, after a long illness of dropsy. Eber was born June 25, 1890. During his brief life, he endeared himself to all be his gentle manners, kind, obedient disposition and bright mind. He was a member of the Methodist Sunday school and Junior Epworth League and of a turn of mind for a boy which holds out the greatest promise of a useful and most honorable manhood. Dr. J. H. McLean conducted services Saturday morning at the residence and Dr. E. E. King at the grave, the burial taking place in Pecan Grove cemetery where a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends witnessed the last sad rites over his remains. The Democrat extends sympathy to the grief stricken parents in their sad bereavement.
