Peggy Joan (Everhart) Sorrells, 83, of Fairbury passed away December 9, 2020 at JCH&L in Fairbury, NE. Peggy was born March 31, 1937 in Fairbury to Merle and Ruby (Townsend) Everhart, Sr. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. =========================================== Peggy J. Sorrells was born to Merle F. Everhart Sr. and Ruby A. Townsend Everhart on March 31, 1937 in Fairbury, NE. Died on December 09, 2020. Peggy was married to Don Belding and they lived in Diller, Ne. Don was killed in a car accident many years ago. Peggy later married Walter Jack Sorrells. After 20 years of marriage, they were divorced. Peggy worked in the cutting room as a cutter for Swingsters (American Marketing). After 18 years of working at Swingsters, Peggy retired in 1999. Peggy is proceeded in death by her parents Merle Sr. and Ruby, her brother Merle Jr. (Sonny) Everhart. Survivors are her sisters Marlene Johnson of Lincoln, Ne, Betty McGinty of Beatrice, Ne, and Ruth Gresham and husband Russ of Rosalia, Ks, and sister-in-law Gloria Everhart of Fairbury, Ne and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials will go to Jefferson Community Health and Life at Fairbury, NE. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
