Son of Joseph and Maria "Mary" (Kalinec) Kubala. Marriage: Alice Stasny on September 11, 1926, recorded in Williamson County, Texas. --------------- Joe J. Kubala, 78, of Rt. 3, Saratoga Blvd., died Sunday evening in a local hospital after a sudden illness. A native of Granger, Texas, and a veteran of World War I, he lived in Granger until 1940 when he moved to Corpus Christi. He was employed for 18 years in the propeller shop of O&R at the Naval Air Station until his retirement in 1959. He had more than 26 beneficial suggestions for improvements in mechanical working to his credit. He was a member of American Legion Bill Roper Country Post No. 364. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at the Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow in Seaside Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice S. Kubala; a son, Dan Kubala; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Martinets, and four grandchildren. Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Services.
