Bio

Kathleen "Kathy" (Gaidusek) Lillard, age 63, of West, passed away late Saturday evening, December 5, 2020, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will have a come-and-go visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. Kathy was born January 29, 1957, in Waco, the daughter of Bernard and Elsie (Hoelscher) Gaidusek. She attended St. Mary's School, West High School, and a 1976 graduate of Connally High School. She then received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Florida Community College. Kathy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was an accountant and comptroller for Safe Harbor Old Port Cove in Palm Beach, Florida for 27 years before retiring in 2018. Kathy enjoyed bird watching, traveling, and walking on the beach and on nature trails. She had a great passion for taking care of her flowers. Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Bernard Lee Gaidusek; her sister, Bernadine Waltisperger; and a nephew, Kevin Gaidusek. Survivors include her mother, Elsie Gaidusek of Lacy Lakeview; her sisters and brother, Janice Gaidusek of Lacy Lakeview, Jo Ann Gaidusek of Robinson, Sharon Dyer of Robinson, Tom Gaidusek and wife Terri of West, and Donna Johnson and husband Roger of West; her nieces and nephews, Dale Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Allen Gaidusek, Destiny Dyer, Tonya Cox, Robert Cox, Crystal Oliver, Michelle Gaidusek, David Walker and Jared Waltisperger; several great-nieces and great-nephews; her former husband and best friend, Robert Lillard; and many other relatives and friends.
