Bio

Marcus Bly Wood passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Parkview Hospital in Mexia. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Marcus Bly Wood was born on March 28, 1951, in Teague, Texas, to the late James "Jimmy" and Lois Wood. He graduated from Teague High School Class of 1969 where he played football and was a drummer in the high school band. He worked at the railroad and then HLP Power Plant. Marcus loved fishing and golf, and the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Teague Volunteer Fire Dept for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Teague. Survivors include his son, Adam Wood and his wife, Jessica, of Donie; daughters: Kristin Gonzalez and her husband, Rudy, of Big Spring, Jennifer Marriott and her husband, Darrell, of Aledo, and Jessica Daggs and her husband, Zachary, of Teague; 14 grandchildren; sister, Renee Branch, of Waco; and nephews, Matthew Branch and Eric Branch.
