Virgie Hope Bateman Yancy was the 7th daughter and the 9th child of James Claiborne Bateman and Angeline Williams Bateman. She married Lum Yancy on 10 Jan 1915. Jean Wallace Bateman Family History Virgie Hope Bateman Yancy and Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bateman Yancy were sisters and they married Yancy brothers. Virgie married Lum Yancy Lizzie married Dee Yancy. Mother to: Herman Yancy and Myrtle Yancy.
