Ronald Douglas Warren, 63, of Frost, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at his residence. He was born Feb. 19, 1944, in Waxahachie to Charlie and Helen Warren. He was a member of Frost Baptist Church, master mason in Masonic Lodge No. 196 and Karem Shrine Noble. He loved to do carpentry work, working on houses. He took pride in any work he did, especially his work with dirt. He was a very modest and humble person. He worked for Warren Brothers and retired from Gregory and Cooke. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Frost Baptist Church with Brother Chris Shirley officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Mertens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hooser, Kenneth Logan, Buddy Ross, Chuck Dortch, Ronald Martin and Ronald Elmore. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Warren; and brother, Charles Warren. He is survived by his wife, Vera Warren of Frost; mother, Helen Warren of Frost; daughters and sons-in-law, Tiffany and Steve Garland of Metarie, La., and Susanne and Ian Vanderschee of Lewisville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita and Gerald Doherty of Ennis, Karen and Jimmy Hudson of Linden; sister-in-law Nell Warrend of Frost; and grandchildren, Jessica Lee McCarty, Kyler Vanderschee and Samantha Sue Garland.
