Fenner, Beeville, Texas Burial, Glenwood, Beeville, Texas per Texas Death Certificate Funeral services for John S. Fenner, Sr., 63, Bee County engineer and former county engineer of Nueces County, who died Tuesday, will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. The Rev. W.R. Belford will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery under direction of Walker Funeral Home. Fenner, a native of Beeville, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Fenner, pioneers in South Texas. He received his civil engineering degree in 1910 and had been engaged in engineering and road building for 40 years. In 1937 he became county engineer of Nueces County and served a little less than two years. He became Bee County engineer in January, 1946, and directed the $750,000 road and bridge building program. During World War II, Fenner served as rad engineer on Camp Barkley projects in the Abilene area and as government engineer in the Hondo and San Marcos areas. Fenner was a member of the Beeville Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Nettie Hipp of Corpus Christi; two sons, Robert and John Jr., and one grandson Robert Millard Fenner, all of Beeville; two sisters, Mrs. William Aldrich, Brownsville, and Mrs. Tully Garner of Uvalde and three brothers, Rawleigh Fenner and Powers Fenner of Laredo, and Bishop Goodrich F.
