Bio
Sandra was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on August 6, 1944 to Douglas K. and Carol Louise Penix. She married Edwin Slovak on June 7, 1962 in Stillwater Oklahoma University was where she earned her degree in nursing that allowed her to serve as a registered nurse and BSN. She loved the Lord and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church held her membership. She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Slovak; daughter Michelle Slovak; and her brother Jay Penix. Sandra is lovingly remembered by her sons Doug (Tina) Slovak and Brian (Angela) Slovak; five grandchildren Kayla Slovak, Kara (Golden) Cooper, Kendall (Courtni) Slovak, Gage Slovak, Grace Slovak; two great-grandchildren Ellie Cooper and Maddie Slovak; two sisters Carol (James) Wallace and Gail (Larry) Jelinek. Pallbearers will be Kendall Slovak, Gage Slovak, Kayla Slovak, Grace Slovak, Alan Kindt, and Ed Lawson. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Stained-Glass Window Fund at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 711 N Country Club Rd, Stillwater, OK 74075.
