Bio

Daughter of Nickabud and Florida Allen Barco "Nettie" was listed as "No Name Bares" (Barco), age 2 months, b. abt Apr 1880 in FL, on the 1880 US Census and as Mary Barco, age 5, on the 1885 FL State Census, both in Hernando County, FL . She 1st married James Walker Bishop on 28 Feb 1899, in Crystal River, Citrus Co., FL. He died 17 Jul 1908 in Ocala, Marion County, Florida. They had at least two children, daughter Jessie Allen Bishop Avery (1901-1951), and son, James Barco Bishop (1902-1959). J Walker Bishop's newspaper obituary stated that they had three children. She married William Lamar Denham, 12 Sep 1909 in Ocala, FL. On the 1910 census (Gainesville, Alachua, FL) Nettie B Denham was listed as the mother of five children, with two living children. Nettie died 26 Oct 1933 in Coral Gables, Dade Co., FL. Her death certificate records her name as Annionette Denham, the informant was her daughter, Jessie B Avery; burial at Gainesville, FL, on 28 Oct 1933, most likely in Evergreen Cemetery.
