William's first wife was Cristia Parker, whom he married Aug. 4, 1841,and with whom he had 3 sons, William P., John P. and Richard Harrison Andrews. Cristia died sometime prior to 1848 and he married Margaret McGuirk Nov. 2, 1848, with whom he had 10 or 12 children. **Article taken from the Monitor Herald Newspaper, Calhoun County Mississippi Jan 17, 1907 (Copied and transcribed by Deborah Turner Dunn # 47291475) In the death of Squire W. F. P. Andrews at his home near Ellard last Saturday, there was removed one of the old landmarks of Calhoun County. Squire Andrews has been a familiar figure all over the county for the uprightness of his life and the rock-ribbed principles upon which he based all his dealings with men. He had lived tot he ripe old age of 85, and up to near the time of his death was hale, being able to ride horseback for considerable distance, and we have frequently heard him express the belief that the longevity of his life was due to the fact that he had been a total abstainer of all kinds of stimulants for more that 30 years. He was buried at Concord today in the presence of numerous friends and relatives with Masonic honors, of which order he was a member. His life has been long and useful and he will be sadly missed. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved.
