Bio

Lyle H. Vendsel, 70, Prairie Village, died Jan. 17, 1990, at Research Medical Center. He was born in Fort Benson, Mont., and moved to this area in 1965. Mr. Vendsel worked for the Chevrolet division of the General Motors Corp. for 40 years, retiring as a field sales executive in 1980. He was a graduate of the University of Montana and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and the alumni associations of the university and fraternity. He was a member of the Village Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Mason and a member of the York Rite and Scottish Rite bodies. He was a member of the Algeria Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Adele Vendsel of the home; a son; a daughter; and a step-daughter; a sister; and two grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church; cremation. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, 829 N. Summit Blvd., Spokane, Wash. 99201
