Opal Montine Craig, 88, of East Ridge died Monday, June 30, 2014. She was born October 4, 1925 in Whitfield County , Georgia a daughter of the late Clyde Hayes and Sudie Capehart Hayes. Mrs. Craig was retired from TVA where she work as a registered nurse. She was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Helping others was her calling. Survivors include her son Robert Craig, brother Lamar Hayes; sisters Mary Whaley, Patsy (Joe) Taylor and Diana (Zeno) Bridges; grandchildren Daniel Craig, Julia Ballard, Melody Doyle and Marshall Craig; great granddaughter Hannah Ballard. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 4, 2014 at Crosspath at East Ridge with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 5-7 Thursday evening. Arrangements under the direction of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist-East Chapel, East Ridge, TN.
