Fremont Tribune - Fremont, Nebraska - 26 Apr 1996, Fri - Page 2 Mary Hunke WEST POINT The funeral for Mary Mamie Hunke, 90, of West Point will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church in West Point. She died Wednesday, April 24, 1996, at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge. Mary Niewohner was bom Nov. 24, 1905, in Aloys, west of West Point. She attended school in Snyder. She married Albert Hunke Jan. 27, 1926, in Snyder; the couple farmed near West Point, until their retirement. Her husband died Dec. 29, 1985. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point and its Church Guild. Survivors include two sons, Donald of West Point and Robert of Long Pine; a sister, Katie Wolken of Fulton, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. The Rev. Gary Ostrander will officiate Saturdays service. Visitation is in progress until 8 tonight, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, all at Ben Stalp Funeral Home in West Point. A rosary for members of the Church Guild will be said 1:30 today, and a rosary for the public will be said 7 tonight, both at the funeral home.
