Ethel A. Tidwell, 92, of Granger died Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at a local hospital. Family Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm, Friday, June 20, 2003 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leanne Turner and Rev. Kathye Schade officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, west of Granger. Ethel A. Tidwell was born in Lund, Texas on August 27, 1910 to August and Edla (Carlson) Adamson. Ethel married Jeff Tidwell on April 17, 1931. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ethel was a great cook and had worked various jobs in the Granger area. She had been a reporter for the Granger News as a personal columnist, a cook in the Granger School system and also was a part time receptionist for Condra Funeral Home in Granger and Bartlett. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Granger. Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son, Trojan Tidwell and wife Joann of Austin; daughter, Trona Blaha and husband Jodie of Taylor; grandchildren, Mark Tidwell and wife Lori, Jeffrey Tidwell and wife Tami, Thomas Tidwell and wife Cheryl, Treila Krueger Aery and husband Ray and Dwayne Krueger and wife Nicki; great-grandchildren, Cory, Reis, Lauren and Conner Tidwell, Grant Goury, Chelsey and "Deuce" Krueger. Pallbearers will be Mark Tidwell, Thomas Tidwell, Dwayne Krueger, Grant Goury, Henry Heisch, and Elmer Adamson, Jr. Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church, P.O.
