Joseph R. Sladecek, 82, of Taylor died August 14, 2005 in Temple, Texas. Visitation will be 6-8 PM and Rosary will be 7 PM, Tuesday, August 16th at Providence Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor. Celebration of Life Mass will be 10 AM, Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Msgr. John Frizelle officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Cornhill. Joe R. Sladecek was born in Williamson County, Texas on April 3, 1923 to Joseph and Emilie (David) Sladecek. He was a member of SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and the KJT. He was a friend to many people. Joe was a farmer, rancher, and a manager of gins in south and west Texas for many years. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Emilie and Joseph Sladecek, his brothers, Louis, Albert, and Johnny, and his sisters, Christina, Mary, and Annie. He is survived by his family and special friends who will greatly miss him and the smile he had whenever you saw him. Pallbearers will be Felix Pavlicek, Richard Cadan, Steven Sladecek, Andrew Greinert, Rick Netek, and Edward Zrubek. Memorials may be made to SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Joe R.
