Bernard J. Mikulencak, 76, of Granger died Monday, July 15, 2002 at his residence. Rosary will be recited at 7 PM, Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor. Celebration of Life Mass will be 10 AM, Thursday at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Msgr. John Frizelle officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. Bernard was born on February 6, 1926 to Frances (Kofron) and F.J. Mikulencak, Sr. in Granger, Texas. On January 25, 1975, Bernard married Lillian Zurovec Bartosh in Granger, Texas. He was a member of the SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, K.J.T., and a former member of the V.F.W. in Granger. Bernard was an avid gardener and loved plants and flowers. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.J. Mikulencak Sr. and Frances Kofron; one brother, Albert F. Mikulencak; niece, Barbara Garrett, and stepson, Michael Bartosh, DVM. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Mikulencak of Granger; brother, Frank Mikulencak and wife, Georgia of Granger; sister-in-law, Ann Mikulencak of Elgin; step-grandson, David Bartosh of Bartlesville, OK. and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be James Jarosek, Gregory Jarosek, Steve Michalik, Frank Pekar, Albert Hajda and Louis Hajda. Memorials may be made to SS.
