MINEOLA – Services for Mae Dell Brown Buie, 94, of Mineola, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011, at Pilgrim Rest #2 Baptist Church, Golden, with Bro. J. D. Graham officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. Mrs. Buie passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2011, in a Mineola Nursing Home. She was born September 7, 1916, in Alba to the late John Thomas and Dora Anna Robinson Brown. She married Jesse Owen Buie in Whitehouse and lived most of her life in Tyler. She was a Factory Seamstress for Levi Strauss & Co. for over 20 years, and she was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dora Brown; husband, Jesse Owen Buie; sons, Kenneth Earl Motes and Jimmie Motes; infant daughter, Margie Motes; and 9 brothers and sisters. Survivors include nephew, Curtis Brown and wife Margaret of Winnsboro; niece, Betty Gage and husband Eddie of Golden; grandsons, Brent Motes of Fort Worth and Allen Motes of Denver, Colorado; other nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are ­­­­Don Brown, Dale Brown, Curtis Brown, Benny Brown, Louis Graham, and Wes Brown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. If desired, memorials may be made to Reflections Hospice, 406 West Blair, Suite 200, Mineola, Texas 75773.
