Bio

Wilma Frances (Huser) Lindsay passed away October 5, 2020, at Celeste Care Assisted Living in Llano, Texas. Mrs. Lindsay was born in 1925 to Anna and Joseph Huser in Granger, Texas, attended Granger High School, and later held various positions as a school and church secretary. She married Charles R Lindsay of Lilesville, N.C., and they lived many years in Bartlett, Texas, where they both worked with the school system. In 1968 the couple moved to Lake Buchanan, began working with the Llano schools, and became active at Highland Lakes United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lindsay is survived by her one son, Philip Lindsay ( wife Toni Taylor Lindsay) of Harlingen, Texas, three grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Alexis and Christopher McQuitty of Galveston, Tx (Rachel and Rudy Hernandez, Bobby and Marissa McQuitty, John McQuitty, and Will McQuitty); Allison and Benjamin Dart of Signal Mountain, TN, (Jackson Dart, Caroline Dart, Charlie Dart); and Jason and Jennifer Lindsay of Cibolo, Tx. Due to Covid precautions a memorial service for Mrs. Lindsay will be held at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a memorial, please consider sending the donation to Highland Lakes United Methodist Church, Kingsland, Tx. The family would like to thank Celeste Care Assisted Living in Llano, Dr. David Hoerster, Solaris Hospice, and a special niece, Mary J Barsonti, for care during Mrs. Lindsay’s later years. Arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Llano.
