Rose Jelinek, age 72 years, of Bee, born June 6, 1948, passed away Oct. 13, 2020. Visitation: 1 – 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home, Seward, visitation will resume from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Bee. A Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 16, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Bee, with Father Brendan Kelly celebrating Mass. Private graveside and inurnment: St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery, Bee. Memorials: Bee States Ballroom restoration. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home, Seward & Dwight. Thanks to Delbert Falsken for the info Rosemarie Jelinek was born on June 6, 1948, in David City, Nebraska to Howard and Georgian (Novak) Helgoth and lost her battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was peacefully surrounded by her family at home and passed away on October 13, 2020, in Bee, Nebraska at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 7 days. Rose grew up on a farm near Center. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Aquinas Catholic High School, graduating with the Class of 1966. On June 3, 1967, Rose was united in marriage to Allan “Buzz” Jelinek at St. Francis Catholic Church, Center and to this union two sons were born. Rose worked as an accountant for 45 years at the Bee Coop and Central Valley Ag. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and traveling. Rose and Buzz have been parishioners of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee since 1968. She was also a member of the Altar Society. Rose was a former member of the Bee Town Board as well as the Bee School Board. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Lou. Survivors cherishing her memory include her husband, Buzz Jelinek, Bee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd (Dawn) Jelinek, Edmond, OK, T.J. (Misty) Jelinek, Chadron, NE; four grandchildren, Trevon, Miranda, Talon and Jett; four brothers, Jerome Helgoth, Gerald Helgoth, Bernie (Tami) Helgoth, Ron Helgoth; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
