Georgie Ann Baca was born January 28, 1913 in West, Texas to Charles Louis and Rosie (Maytyscak) Kubala. She was a life long resident of Granger except when she married Lad Baca, June 26, 1933. Georgie was an avid gardener which included working in her yard and really enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lad Baca, a marriage that lasted 58 years before his death in 1992. Also preceding her in death are her parents, four brothers, Edward, Bill, George and Ben and two sisters, Louise Urbanovsky and Evelyn Beran. Survivors include two sons, Charles L. Baca of Round Rock and Eugene Baca and wife, Pat of Austin; a daughter, Georgia B. Smesny of Houston; a sister, Edith Kubala of Georgetown; five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
