Bio

Joan, age 88, passed away at Northern Mahaska Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was the daughter of Fred John and Clara Olga (Johnson) Netz. She graduated from Eddyville (IA) High School in 1952. She married Bert C. Vroegh on December 4, 1952, in Eddyville. She married Francis Martin on April 23, 1994. Survivors include her children, Fred Vroegh, Dale Vroegh, Nancine Vroegh, and Bruce Vroegh, nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held at Highland Cemetery near Eddyville.
